| Spent four days observing birds in Finland. East part of Finland is a good mix of eastern and northern as well as western and southern species of birds. At may, species have just arrived and are heard and seen very well. In Rantasalmi county is very varying nature. There are wilderness pine forest, rich deciduous forest, open big lakes with many island ans islets and of course agricultural habitats. In this trip we visit several birdwatching towers, National Park Linnansaari and many different kind of forests. And like in every trip, we observed also other things like mammals, plants, insects and so on. Ecological aspects of the trip:
All the guides and other participants are local people. Using these services You support the local employment and help peolple to survive of living in this rural area. In this trip we are visiting in the protected nature areas. We have to take care of not disturbing the bids or other animals. This trip is planned together with local authorities and ornitologists.
